On EducationEducation is the cornerstone on which any modern society must be built. Higher Education, especially, teaches us to critically examine not only the world around us but our own prejudices and background. The Latin root of the word Educate means "to bring up, or lead," but as we know, this alone is insufficient to our being Educated. Education must be include provocation, inspiration, and true dialogue. Should education be viewed ultimately as a means to a job or broader economic ends? Or is such a view better suited to the word "training" where "education" necessarily means something more? If you have a strong, well supported argument concerning education, email us we'll include it here.
